I've got some spare time to made some updates to picoBlog. Nothing awesome but basic functionality to keep going. So, the first update you may had notice is that now I'm using SEO friendly URL. Apparently this will improve the indexing of the blog by search engines... Let's see if there is an improvement.

Finally I did some more progresses with my picoBlog platform. These are the main changes. In the last weeks I managed to get some time to add a couple of features to picoBlog. You may had noticed, for instance, the RSS feed at the bottom of the page. Other addition is some pagination code (still very Beta). It is not visible yet... I have to add a couple more posts, but seems to work. Let's see how it behaves in the wild.
Another minor change was to show some more text on posts with a very short abstract. I think it looks better in the main page.
Finally, the last change you should surely notice (otherwise let me know as something when very bad) was the mandatory cookies consent banner. It is a bit funny that, in order to provide this option you actually have to set a cookie :). Anyway, this also seems to work but I haven't tested extensively yet, so if you notice any problem, please send me a note.

Multimedia is a tricky topic. If you ever had tried to do something on this field, you already know that. You have to manage a lot of information coming from different sources. Then you have to process all that data and send it out to something that allows, us humans, to perceive it. And all this has to be done very quickly. Actually, in a sense, multimedia systems are real-time systems with strong timing constraints to fulfill.
