stat file : Displays foo metadata

stat -t file: Terse format (all data in 1 line)

stat -f mount_point: Displays file system metadata

stat -c "%n %s %y" file: Shows name, size and timestamp

stat -c "%i" file: Get inode number

stat -c "%F" file: Type of file
